Lido Elementary School recently had a special visit from the American Red Cross.  K-2 grade students participated in an interactive program focusing on how to stay safe during a home fire and featured a guest appearance by program mascot Pedro the Penguin. Red Cross representatives discussed ways the students could be prepared by learning coping skills to remain calm in emergency situations and students practiced crawling low under a blanket representing smoke.
